A fine example of mediaeval architecture and a place of national remembrance, Château de Vincennes affirms the power of the monarchy. Under Napoleon I it was converted into a barracks and arsenal to hold off invaders. During your visit you can explore the castle’s dungeon and its chapel, Sainte-Chapelle de Vincennes.
